Customers in a financial bind may qualify for up to $1,000 per year in bill payment assistance if they meet the program income eligibility requirements and have experienced at least one of the following:
- A loss or reduction of income
- An unexpected major expense that causes a lack of resources
- A medical condition that endangers health or safety

Energy Support
Offers a discount of 25 or 60 percent off the cost of electricity for customers who meet certain income guidelines. The Energy Support program gives qualified customers a 25% discount (up to $95 off per month) or a 60% discount (up to $165 off per month).

Low Income Ratepayer Assistance (LIRA) Program
For households with a recently lost job, even if they are receiving unemployment benefits. people who apply may qualify for a reduced energy rate. This program provides a discounted monthly basic service charge and a 30% reduction on the "per therm" rate.

Navajo Tribal Utility Authority
Senior Citizen Discount Life Support Discount
NTUA offers a 10% discount to customers who are 60 years or older and have an annual household income of $ 21,000 or less. A 10% discount is available to customers who require utility services to be maintained for a life-threatening health condition that is certified by a licensed physician.

Low-Income Weatherization Program
UniSource works with partner agencies to make free energy efficiency retrofits to the homes of income-qualifying customers. If you qualify for assistance, these improvements could significantly reduce your monthly utility bills.

Arizona Public Service
Project SHARE (Service to Help Arizonans with Relief on Energy)
Those in financial crisis or in need of temporary energy bill assistance can receive up to $500 through Arizona Public Service's partnership with The Salvation Army. There are no age or income criteria for this program. Applicants are required to provide proof of unexpected decrease in income or higher bills.

Energy Share is an emergency fund that provides direct assistance to qualified people with unexpected financial difficulties, such as the loss of a job or a medical emergency. All Energy Share donations are managed and distributed by The Salvation Army.

UniSource Energy Services
Customer Assistance Residential Energy Support (CARES)
Through the CARES program, qualified electric customers receive a $16 monthly discount, while gas customers can receive a $3 discount on standard basic service and meter charges as well as a 15 cent-per-therm discount for up to 100 therms of gas use each month from November through April.
